*** UPDATE **** Whilst Indonesia has granted as of April 2022 visa on arrival to citizens of 42 countries,Ireland is not one of them.The visitor visa needs to be applied for in advance and is far from straightforward,.You need to have a sponsor in Indonesia throughout your stay and they need to complete paperwork as well as you,that is if the highly unreliable Indonesia immigration website actually functions,6 hours of trying today no joy.Other European countries with far higher COVID rates are on VOA list but not Ireland.As someone who travelled there regularly before pandemicI would for now avoid trying to go there,also despite the removal in f quarantine for vaccinated on arrival,you still must wait in place at a hotel for at least 24 hours until your PCR on arrival at airport comes through.
Forgot to add the visa,it costs $50 in advance which your sponsor has to pay,and the government website,a visa may not be granted.You also need travel insurance,min $25,000 COVID cover in addition to regular medical expense limits,plus a signed letter stating you agree to abide by health regulations.A hard copy of COVID vaccine cert is also required in addition to that stored on any relevant app.Finally,you need to complete info for EHAC app and generate a QR code assuming all other steps been completed.Hopefully these rules will change over next few weeks though.
